Realignment and upgrade of existing traffic junction, resurfacing works, footpath installation, and traffic lights, including foul, storm and Eir diversions and adjacent landscaping.

An extensive traffic management plan had to be developed. Works were carried out in several stages to avoid delays. Traffic flows were directed to one line, manually operated Stop/Go system was used during rush hours to avoid congestion. An automated traffic lights system was used outside working hours. Dublin Bus Stop had to be temporarily moved, and pedestrians were accommodated by using clear signage and specially designed pedestrian corridors.
