Junior Health & Safety Officer

We are seeking to recruit a Junior Health & Safety Officer.  Reporting to our Health & Safety Manager, the role will be based in our Head Office in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin and will involve regular visits to various sites in the greater Dublin Area.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A third level qualification in Health & Safety.
  • Preferably 1-3 years of experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills.

THE ROLE:

  • Carry out site safety audits across the Company.
  • Deliver tool box talks as required.
  • Carry out risk assessments and complete method statements.
  • Liaise with Site Managers to assist in compiling and reviewing site safety documentation.
  • Compiling register of site inductions and training records for employees and Sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Health & Safety Manager who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to broaden their skills and experience.

SITE Engineer

Site Engineer for residential/commercial site development projects in the Greater North Dublin Area. Typical works include ground works, drainage, services, roads and other site infrastructure, substructures, bulk excavations, retaining walls etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Civil Engineering or relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest surveying equipment (GPS & robotic station) and software.
  • Superior IT skills and knowledge of Autocad and related software.
  • Good understanding of current construction Health & Safety practices and requirements.
  • Valid Safe Pass and CSCS Locating Underground Services certification.

THE ROLE:

  • Setting out, levelling and surveying onsite using GPS total station and auto level.
  • Topographic surveys using GPS & robotic total station.
  • Preparation and drafting as-built drawings using CAD software.
  • Supervision of site works in line with health & safety policy.
  • Develop risk assessments & method statements.
  • Monitor work in accordance with specification & regulations.
  • Provide as-built drawings and prepare project handover documentation.
  • Co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers and deliveries.
  • Maintain records of labour, plant and site activities.
