Slipform Kerbing

INTRODUCTION

Liffey Developments operate as one of the leading Slipform Kerbing Contractors in Ireland. Our Slipform Kerbing division was established in 1993 when we were one of the first Irish Companies to purchase a Power Curber B5700B kerbing machine which was manufactured and imported from North Carolina, U.S.A.

Over the last decade we have seen productivity in the slipform kerbing area increase to a level which warranted the purchase of a second kerb machine. Our Kerbing Manager oversees the Slipform Kerbing Division and is responsible for organising two kerb crews which include kerbing supervisor, machine driver and skilled concrete finishers.

We specialize in pouring a finished kerb, kerb base, channel block, crash barrier and footpaths.

The kerbing machines have the ability to get out of tight spots quickly, pouring tight radius in parking areas whilst having the capability to pour over 6,000 metres of finished kerb and over 9,000 metres of kerb base a week.

THE PROCESS

Slipform Kerbing is a process of pouring a continuous concrete kerb in almost any size and shape. It is a suitable process for motorways, distributor roads, residential developments, commercial developments and private dwellings.

Kerb shapes and sizes can be adapted to meet most proposed specifications.

Slipform kerbing eliminates precast units, reducing labour intensive work.
