Description:
 

Site Development works for Dublin City Council’s flagship 16 ha. urban park. The Father Collins Park is designed to the highest contemporary standards including landscape, art and architecture as dynamic elements.

 

Works Underaken:
 

The park is dominated by five 30 m high wind turbines and 360 m long promenade running through the length of an artificial lake from North to South of the site. This work involved substantial in-situ concrete foundations for turbines with extensive ducting and construction of electrical sub-station building.

 

The lake vicinity is formed by various features such as vehicle and pedestrian bridges to the promenade, performance stage within the lake, grass covered amphitheatre and wetland areas. Two additional major water features involved underground tanked storage reservoirs and also include a substantial 10 meters high in-situ concrete waterfall.
 
Park also contains 4 full size all-weather grass football pitches and training area, skate park, playgrounds and adjacent pergolas, recreation areas, health stations, maintenance buildings, running & cycle tracks crossing the lake and bench seating and boundary walls and entrances.
