Celestica Junction

Realignment and upgrade of existing traffic junction, resurfacing works, installation of footpaths, installation of traffic lights, including foul, storm and Eircom diversions and adjacent landscaping.

Live road – traffic management plan had to be developed. Works were carried out in several stages to avoid delays. Only one part of the junction closed at any one time. Traffic flow directed to one line, manually operated Stop/Go system in place during rush hours to avoid congestion. Outside rush hours and at night time automated traffic lights system used. Dublin Bus Stop was temporarily moved and pedestrians accommodated by using clear signage and specially designed pedestrian corridors.
